Klein McCarthy Architects implemented a previously developed building program to expand the Renville County Government Services into a new building. The construction included a three story (two above grade and one below grade) office building of approximately 30,000 s.f. on a site across the street from the historic Renville County Courthouse.
The building housed the Sheriff's Department, three 72 hour holding cells, a work release dormitory with a five-person capacity, Public Health, Veteran's Services, the Extension Department, the County Commissioners' Board Room and related spaces, Records Storage, a variety of meeting rooms, a garage for the Sheriff's Department and a maintenance garage. The building design includes 1,500 net square feet of unfinished space and includes features to accommodate future expansion to the south.
