The Minnesota Correctional Facility at Red Wing is a minimum security juvenile campus with a strong emphasis on educational and rehabilitative
programming. The mission of the secure detention cottage is to provide a short-term, close-custody housing option for those residents requiring restraint or a period of
disciplinary detention. The project was completed in 1996.
All areas are organized tightly around the central control station which is equipped with an electronic security system integrating door control, video surveillance,
security communications, and life safety systems.
