With continued population growth, Chisago County needed to replace its 1876 wood frame courthouse which was no longer able to support
the county's needs. This addition to an existing 1972 government office building includes 24,000 s.f. of courts facilities plus approximately 43,000 s.f. of space
for other county agencies. Construction of the new addition, remodeling of the 1972 offices and site work was completed at a construction cost of $4.3 million.
