Housed in the original county courthouse which was built in 1903, the Benton County Human Services Department was refurbished to better suit
its current use. Working with staff, Klein McCarthy developed a series of alternative space planning schemes to address the issues of interdepartmental work flow, security,
and privacy. Klein McCarthy then coordinated a phased construction of the selected scheme while the building was occupied. During the project, the building’s exterior
glass block windows were replaced with insulated aluminum windows.
