MCF LINO LAKES - RECEPTION / SEG. UNIT
LINO LAKES, MN
The MCF Lino Lakes Reception/ Segregation Unit is designed to provide secure entrance and intake capability together with segregation housing for administrative and disciplinary purposes. A new vehicle sallyport was added outside the perimeter fence, with a secure link providing access for prisoners, staff and visitors.
Internally, the Intake/Visiting function contains an entrance sallyport, visitor waiting, contact and non-contact visiting, and intake processing/secure holding area. A central control room commands an electronic security management system integrating door control, communications and video surveillance.
The Segregation Unit provides 42 beds of close-custody housing in two equal pods. Cells are arranged along both sides of a sky lit dayroom space providing circulation, supervision and limited recreation capability. A secure control room has direct visual surveillance of the entry sallyport, showers, and one dayroom, with video cameras providing back-up in other areas. A fenced yard accommodates directly supervised outdoor recreation.
